Antonino Montefusco is Executive Chef of the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria in Sorrento, where he leads the hotel’s celebrated culinary program, including the Michelin-starred Terrazza Bosquet. A native of Sorrento, Montefusco began his career in the hotel’s kitchens before refining his craft at some of Europe’s most distinguished restaurants, including Domaine de Châteauvieux, La Pergola under Heinz Beck during its third Michelin Star year, Rossellinis, and Quattro Passi. Returning to the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria in 2009, he was named Executive Chef in 2017, and under his leadership, Terrazza Bosquet has continued to uphold its Michelin-starred distinction.
Deeply rooted in the traditions of the Sorrentine Peninsula, Montefusco’s cuisine celebrates the flavors, ingredients, and memories of Campania through a contemporary lens. Influenced by some of Italy’s most acclaimed chefs, he combines technical precision with creativity while remaining steadfast in his respect for authenticity and terroir. For Montefusco, every dish should tell a story, inspire curiosity, and evoke emotion—a philosophy that traces back to his earliest inspiration: his mother’s cooking, where, as he often says, “everything began.”
