TOR: Reflections of a Vintner
À La Carte Tickets: $250
Time & Location: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm | Estate I
Join Tor Kenward for a tasting of selected rare, special wines handpicked for this event by Tor himself. Tor has been a Napa Valley vintner for nearly 50 years. The first 27 years were with Beringer Vineyards helping build a wine company known to collectors for its reserve and single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons and Chardonnays. In 2001, he started TOR Kenward Family Wines. In this session, he’ll tell the stories of his decades spent in Napa Valley and walk you through a tasting of his wine.
Attendees receive a personally autographed copy of Tor Kenward’s book, Reflections of a Vintner.
About TOR:
Founded by Tor and Susan Kenward, TOR Wines captures nearly fifty years of Napa Valley wisdom, craftsmanship, and relationships at the highest levels of fine winemaking.
Tor arrived in Napa in 1975, when the valley was home to fewer than fifty wineries, and helped shape it into the global benchmark it is today. His mentors and friends included legends like Robert Mondavi, André Tchelistcheff, and Julia Child, a journey chronicled in his acclaimed book Reflections of a Vintner.
At TOR Wines, the focus is singular and precise: single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from Napa’s most storied sites, alongside the rare co-fermented cuvées Black Magic and Pure Magic. Every bottle is made in select quantities, with minimal intervention and maximum expression, a philosophy that has earned TOR more than twenty five perfect 100-point scores since its founding in 2001.
Winemaker Jeff Ames has led the cellar since day one, and TOR remains 100% family-owned, sourcing exclusively from Napa’s First Growth vineyards, including Beckstoffer To Kalon, Dr. Crane, Vine Hill Ranch, Melanson, and Hyde.
In 2026, TOR enters a rare and meaningful convergence of milestones: fifty years since Tor Kenward first arrived in Napa Valley, twenty five years since the founding of TOR Wines, and fifty years since the historic Judgment of Paris that forever changed the world’s understanding of fine wine. Together, these anniversaries mark not only the passage of time, but TOR’s enduring role in Napa’s modern story: from its formative years to its place among the world’s great wine estates.
Fifty years after first arriving in Napa Valley, Tor Kenward’s journey has come full circle. With each vintage, it continues to push forward, writing the next chapter in Napa’s modern legacy.
