Winemaker and proprietor Rosemary Cakebread has built a quiet but enduring reputation for crafting wines defined by elegance, restraint, and a clear sense of place. A graduate of UC Davis’ Viticulture and Enology program, she began her career at the historic Inglenook Vineyards before honing her skills at Spottswoode Vineyard & Winery. Her fascination with aromatics and blending was shaped by her work in sparkling wine at Mumm Napa Valley, deepening her commitment to precision and balance.

Today, Rosemary’s approach is rooted in time spent in the vineyard, where she believes great wines are truly made. Whether tending her home vines or walking partner properties, she remains most at home outdoors—guided by a philosophy that winemaking begins with the land and is perfected with a thoughtful hand.
