Christopher Hyde, General Manager

Raised with a deep respect for the land, Christopher Hyde has dedicated his career to the stewardship and advancement of his family’s historic Carneros vineyards. After earning a degree in Agricultural Business and Viticulture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, he began in wine sales with Wilson Daniels before returning to Hyde Vineyards as viticulturist. In 2006, he worked alongside his father to plant a block of Pinot Noir for the family’s estate label, which debuted its first vintage in 2009.

Following a tenure at Merryvale Vineyards, Christopher returned to assume dual roles as General Manager of Hyde Vineyards and Director of Viticulture at HdV Winery. While completing his EMBA at Sonoma State University in 2015, he oversaw the construction of the Hyde Vineyards Estate Winery, which opened in August 2017—a milestone in the ongoing legacy of one of Carneros’ most storied vineyard families.
