Matthew Sharp, President of Darioush Winery, brings more than two decades of fine wine leadership and a lifelong passion for hospitality. Before joining Darioush in 2025, he served as Managing Director of Shafer Vineyards and spent over 20 years representing world-class estates, including Lafite Rothschild.

Matthew’s connection to Darioush began years earlier, when as a young sommelier he first encountered the winery’s distinctive style and was inspired by the Khaledi family’s vision and commitment to community. A natural storyteller, with an early career in film, he brings creativity and warmth to his role, engaging collectors and guests with the enduring legacy of Darioush.

Residing in Marin County with his wife and two children, Matthew is honored to steward the next chapter of the Khaledi family’s estate, carrying forward its dedication to quality, hospitality, and family ownership.
