Fostering Dreams
Every child deserves a family to call their own—that belief is the driving force behind Selfless Love Foundation, a nonprofit based in Palm Beach County. In 2015, Ashley and Ed Brown set out to change the story for children in foster care, and the foundation was born. Ashley, who was adopted as an infant, personally experienced the life-changing power of family and sought to give that same gift to as many children as possible. Today, the foundation works across three key areas: supporting youth aging out of the system with housing, life skills, leadership training, and advocating for policy changes that protect and empower foster children statewide and beyond.
Community Impact
The need is real and urgent: More than 800 children in Florida’s foster care system are currently waiting to find a family, and more than 15,000 youth nationwide will age out of foster care each year without a permanent family. Selfless Love Foundation has already helped facilitate over 760+ adoptions and provided more than 20,000+ hours of leadership and life-skills training to young people building independent futures.
The impact has been deeply personal. As one Palm Beach County family shared, “Without Selfless Love Foundation, we would not be the family we are today.” Stories like theirs—of children finding permanent homes and young adults stepping confidently into adulthood—are why the foundation’s work continues forward with care and love.
