Rebekah Wineburg, Winemaker
Winemaker Rebekah Wineburg brings a global perspective to Quintessa, shaped by vintages in California, Oregon, Italy, and New Zealand. Her passion for wine began at sixteen during a visit to Napa Valley, when a family friend—an Australian chemist and winemaker—introduced her to the craft. The experience sparked a path that led to dual degrees in chemistry and biology from Macalester College, followed by a master’s in viticulture and enology from UC Davis.
After honing her skills through harvests abroad, Rebekah returned to Napa Valley, working with renowned estates including Staglin Family Vineyard, Rudd Estate, and Buccella Wines before joining Quintessa in 2015. For her, winemaking is both science and art—an opportunity to create wines with their own life and spirit, while honoring the beauty and individuality of the land.
